And then, you'll experience the cultural fervor of the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Luang Prabang. In addition to fascinating temples and relics, Luang Prabang offers its guests the opportunity to integrate themselves with the local culture. After exploring the town, familiarize yourself with nearby villages, each located amongst Laos' natural landscapes with their own unique history.

08.30Full day visit of the old City. Start with the visit of the local fresh market behind Post office. Proceed to Vat Mai with its five tiered roof and exquisite carved veranda, stroll through lanes with charming old houses and gardens, up to Vat Xieng Thong. Vat Xieng Thong is the most beautifultemple of Luang Prabang dating back from 16th century. The roofs of the Sim sweep low to the ground and glass colored panels adorn the walls of the chapels. Lunch at Pak Houay Mixay restaurant. Transfer to the local pier of Luang Prabang to embark on traditional boat. Cross the Mekong River and walk through Xiene Mene village up to Vat Longkhoun. This temple renovated recently is famous for its mural paintings. Walk along the Mekong to L’Elephant Restaurant for dinner. Accommodation at hotel.
Breakfast at hotel, 08.30 start to visit of the Royal Palace Museum (Tuesday closed) housing the most important treasures of Laos’ recent past. Walk to the local pier on the Mekong behind the museum and embark on a traditional boat upstream to visit the sacred Buddha caves. On the way stop at Thin Hong, a picturesque village and get a glimpse of rural daily life. Visit Tham Ting and Tham Phoum, the revered cave temples housing hundreds of Buddha statues. Lunch at Souan Pak Ou restaurant near the caves. Return to Luang Prabang by boat. Drop in the old city for a walk or shop at the Night Market. Dinner at Tamnak Lao Restaurant (opposite Villa Santi Hotel). Accommodation at hotel.
Breakfast at hotel free time at leisure then transfer to airport for flight to Vientiane. Upon arrival transfer and check-in at hotel. Lunch at hotel. Afternoon visit Vientiane, the capital of Laos: Visit theLao Textile Museum, 3 traditional houses in a lush garden, explores a unique private collection of Lao artifacts and textiles. Visit Talat Sao to buy some Lao textiles and basketry as souvenirs. Proceed to That Luang Stupa, the most revered shrine in Laos and pass by Patouxay (Victory Monument).
