DAY 1 - SAIGON ARRIVAL

Arrive in Saigon and be greeted by the local guide and transferred to the hotel in downtown area then at leisure to relax after a long flight.

DAY 2 – SAIGON (B/L)

Breakfast at hotel then 08:30 start with a visit to Saigon Central Post Office built between 1886 and 1891 and designed by French architect Foulhoux. With the unique vaulted ceiling , wrought iron beams and columns, this Saigon Central Post Office is considered a symbol of Saigon.
(Local touch : Look for Mr Duong and have a talk with him if he’s available. This man enjoys local notoriety for his professional love-letter writing skills.)
Take a stroll along Dong Khoi street, formerly La Rue Catinat and stop to visit Ho Chi Minh City Museum (originally was Gia Long Palace) for its amazing architecture and discover its history through times. Continue to Le Loi Street to meet a local artisan who specialises in traditional engravings, you can have your wine bottle or pen engraved with the name of your beloved one.
Continue walking through the old central market before arriving at the city’s oldest colonial-era apartment. Built in 1886, now it is filled with the young creative Vietnamese businessman who are up to with new funky boutiques and coffee shops. Have a drink at one of the stylish coffee shops and experience a communication with a local resident who lives here for more than 40 years
Leave the building and have a look at the opposite building, which used to be Indochina Bank during the 1920s. It’s a stunning example of the Indochina fusion style of east and west architecture. Return to the hotel.

Start an evening tour at 18:00. Experience Vietnam’s nightlife and culinary culture with a fun Vespa tour in Saigon. Seet at the back of this classic motorbike and drive through the city’s bustling and noisy streets. Withness the life as the sun sets colourful lights turn on.
First, stop at a rooftop bar, have views of the streets below while tasting some snacks and refreshments.
Discover a series of local restaurants and street stalls where you can get the explanation about each item then you taste a selection of sweet and savoury dishes . During the tour, sample a range of local dishes of highly popular treats. Enjoy a special evening with the local touches. Then relax at a hidden and quiet coffee shop, enjoy live music performance with a drink and ice cream before returning to the hotel.

DAY 3 – SAIGON –CU CHI TUNNELS (B)

Tour starts at 08:30 , Drive to Cu Chi, leave the hustling Saigon city behind and enjoy a journey through the rice paddies, villages and other spectacular scenery of the southern Vietnam
Arrive Cu Chi’s rugged grounds with a local guide . Learn how the residents constructed an amazing underground network of tunnels during the French and American Wars.
Crawl underground and have a look at the tiny chambers and imagine what life was like for those who lived there. Hear incredible tales of persistence – from the unusual foods the residents ate to survive, to the story of a baby being born in the tunnels. If you want, you can come and see other items used by the residents to defend themselves such as bamboo traps and camouflaged pits.
Throughout the tour, you will have some information about the impact of war on the local community and the country as a whole then drive back to Saigon

DAY 4 - MEKONG RIVER – MY THO – HO CHI MINH (B/L/D)

Breakfast at hotel then drive to My Tho Dock and get on Aqua Mekong Cruise. Check-in into the floating retreat, and enjoy the endless and captivating panoramic views of the fertile Mekong.
Enjoy the peaceful Mekong River moments in your cabin or in the terrace.
Overnight on board.

DAY 5 - MEKONG RIVER – BINH THANH/ SA DEC – MY AN HUNG (B/L/D)

Begin the day at mat weaving village Binh Thanh ( Optional: visit Sa Dec to see the colourful market and the well-known house of Mr. Huynh Thuy Le. After lunch, visit My An Hung, a typical Mekong Delta village and walk through verdant plantations.
Next, visit a local's home and sample local fruits while listening to traditional folk songs performed by villagers. Biking is optional and available on request.

DAY 6 - MEKONG RIVER – CHAU DOC – VINH XUONG – KA’OM SAMNOR BORDER (B/L/D)

Travel by a small boat along Bassac Canal to Chau Doc floating market then take a van to go to Long Son Pagoda on the top Sam Mountain. Have a talk with the monks about their Buddhist practices and Return via a local market.
Option : bike ride on Long Khanh Island or a rickshaw ride to visit Tan Chau Market with a chef is available on request.
After lunch, relax by the pool , try a traditional Khmer massage or have a cooking class with Mekong typical dishes while crossing the border. Overnight on board.

DAY 7 - MEKONG RIVER – KOH OKNHA TEY – PREAH PROSOP (B/L/D)

During your cruise , admire skillful Khmer artisans dyeing and weaving kroma, a widespread item in the Khmer community. Explore the riverbank by bicycle, riding through Buddhist temples and wooden-stilt thatch houses and rice fields.
After lunch, board marine-grade aluminum boat and head towards the tamarind trees of Preah Prosop, a remote village that still keeps it traditional style over several generations. Overnight on board.

DAY 8 - PHNOM PENH – CAMBODIA (B/L/D)

Arrive in Pnompenh , disembark from the Aqua Mekong and be greeted by a local English speaking guide and go to the hotel by car/ van for check in.
Phnom Penh used to be a colonial city and considered as one of the most beautiful cities in the Orient. Today , it still retains a charm of Asian and Westen traditions mixed in a fascinating way . Pnompenh settled at the confluence of the mighty rivers of the Mekong and Tonlé Sap. Today, explore the capital of Cambodia by tuk-tuk. Visit the Royal Palace, Silver Pagoda and the National Museum of Cambodia where exhibits the world’s largest collection of Khmer art.
The rest of the day is your option to visit the Tuol Sleng Museum of Genocide or to shop at the Russian Market. Overnight at Hotel in Pnompenh.

DAY 9 - PHNOM PENH – FLIGHT TO SIEM SEAP (B)

Breakfast at hotel then transfer to the airport for the morning flight to Siem Reap.
Upon arrival in Siem Reap, meet your English-speaking guide and be transferred to the hotel for check-in.
In the afternoon, have a half-day tour to magnificent Angkor Wat. Built II in the early 12th century, during the reign of King Suryavarman, Angkor Wat is constructed following the model of the temple mountain symbolising the Mount Meru, home of the gods. Inside the temple, the walls are decorated with stone carvings and bas-reliefs depicting Hindu mythology and Suryavarman II fightings during his reign . Here, the King himself resided after his death.
Enjoy your exploration of Angkor Wat beauty with the more than 2,000 Apsara dancers decorating the temple. The construction took for around thirty years of intensive labour to be completed. DAY 10 - SIEM REAP (B)

Have an early startby local remork to explore Angkor Wat with the Small Circuit route. Witness sunrise over the legendary Ta Prohm temple, built from the mid-12th to early 13th centuries. Ta Prohm is unique with giant jungle trees and vines wrapping many parts of the temple and making Ta Prohm one of the most picturesque and impressive of the Angkor temples. Experience the jungle atmosphere at the mysterious temple among the crown of tourists.
After Ta Prohm, visit picturesque Srah Srong Baray where you can escape from the tourist crown. Srah Srong Baray is a man-made reservoir.
Originally constructed in the 12th century as part of Jayavarman VII's massive building and by the same architect that built Pre Rup before being remodelled. Admire the beautiful scenery of a tiered-platform of the baray that is embellished with naga parapedt and guardian lions… Here, enjoy a champagne breakfast with the spectacular view to the lake and the spoile yourself in the luxurious set up in the restaurant that provides you an incredible and serene start of Angkor Exploration.
Next visit is Angkor Thom., an ancient city . Angkor Thom was the last capital reigned by Jayavarman VII. Being Protected by an 8m high wall, this city constructed in a perfect square. Then go to Bayon Temple in the center of the city. Bayon Temple was built in 12th centery and famous for its 54 towers with faces representing the 54 provinces of the Great Khmer Empire.

DAY 11 - SIEM REAP (B/L/D)

After breakfast, Explore the rural Cambodian life by a tour to Ta Brak Village. Have meeting with local people and discover traditional customs and cultural life style of villagers
Experience the ox cart ride in around 30 minutes passing through the village and local market. Explore this colourful local market with vegetables, herbs and other locally-grown produce mingle with the shoppers who come every morning to buy the fresh ingredients.
After market visit, walking through the village to observe their daily life activities and have some chat with them. Depending on the season, you can se people planting rice, weaving thatch for their roofs, harvesting vegetables, or other similar tasks. For an authentic experience, join the locals in these activities and have fun.
Before leaving the village, take part in a special Buddhist tradition with local monks.
After that, get on a boat to cruise on Tonlé Sap Lake, and to learn about local life on the lake. Tonle Sap is Southeast Asia’s largest freshwater lake with its size varying greatly depending on the season. The lake swells to about 4 times its size during the wet season.
Embark a local boat kead toward Kampong Phluck, a village with stilt-houses. Your journey is passing the floating houses and impressive flooded forests, Be well-prepared for the photo shots of life on the water. Experience a picnic lunch on one of the local houses. (Please note: The boat trip is only operated from June to March because of low level in dry season. An alternative floating village at Chong Kneas can be arranged during dry season
After Kampong Phluck village, continue traveling by private vehicle to visit the Golden Silk Pheach Farm operated by NGO to helps to revive the ancient Khmer know-how in silk activities and provides job opportunities to more than 100 local staff. The farm area, mulberry trees and weaving workshop can be seen as part of the guided tour. Golden Silk products are produced ecologically from the yellow silkworm. Some of the silk products take months, or even years to be completed.This is one for the connoisseurs of high quality craftwork.
Continue your trip to Banteay Srei, a”gem” of Angkor architecture which is beautiful looked in the afternoon light. The so-called ‘Citadel of the Women’ is the best preserved temple in Cambodia. Banteay Srei is unique because it was constructed of pink sandstone, which is seen nowhere else in Angkor. Here you can observe the finest works of classical Khmer art by its truly remarkable fine bas-reliefs

DAY 12 - SIEM REAP – DEPARTURE (B)

Have Breakfast at hotel. Depend on your flight time , if time allows, have the last minute shopping at Siem Reap’s colourful markets where you can find some beautiful souvenirs or simply observe the vibrant local in their everyday lives or visit the workshop of Eric Raisina, located a few minutes’ drive out of town who was born and grew up in Paris but has found his inspiration in Cambodia and moved here to live since 1990’s and devoted himself to developing new Cambodian silk weaving and dyeing techniques. Eric’s signature products have become a much sought after fabric in Parisian fashion houses. Tour his workshop and see the new designs being created by the skilled team.
A next visit can be made to another artist studio nextdoor, Theam’s House that run by Lim Muy Theam, a Cambodian artist and designer who is very talented in both Khmer and contemporary international design. Theam has trained a team of artisan apprentices Explore the art studio and observe various works being created such as lacquerware, painting and fine sculptures.
